We have to find a way to have
Michael Weatherly and Misha Collins in the same room.
Okay, I know the basic plot, so tinhat power, activated!
McGee is so amused. He knows Brenda is going ahead of herself because Tony follows the rules of their open relationship and already told him it was just fun. That's how you get McGee randomly checking the profile of a woman Tony just happened to see recently.
Do the writers think about these things? Ziva barely remember her name, probably friended her to be polite without really caring about her. They all met her at Gibbs' coffee shop. That's probably when Tony started to flirt with her.
Why did McGee check her profile like that? What made him think 'hey, I wonder who what's she doing right now.'
Unless they literally met her one or two days before and he was looking around before friending her. But Ziva's question, "how long have you two been dating?" doesn't work then.
"Ziva? You remember Brenda Bittner?"
"Well, the name sounds familiar."
"You friended her. She... she's a barista at Gibbs' coffee shop?"
"Oh, yeah. Brenda."
"I'm reading her profile now. She just posted that she is in a committed relationship with Tony DiNozzo."
"Our Tony DiNozzo?"
"Sure looks like him. Look at her home page."
"Well, how long has this been going on?"
"How long's what been going on?"
Fun way to wave hello to McGee. It's okay, he already know how was your night.
Prop mistake on the fake page, they gave him McGee's birthday.
"When were you going to tell us?"
"Tell you what? That you are in a committed relationship."
"With who?"
"The ever-lovely Brenda Bittner."
"Where did you hear that?"
"She posted it at 7:14 a.m. this morning."
"I left her place around 7:00."
*snort* The way Tony says it, it's like he expected McGee to already take care of it without Tony asking. And McGee who's having fun with the "hell of an it".
"How long have you two been dating?"
"Well... no, we're not dating. Last night was it."
"Well, it must have been one hell of an it because she can not wait to tell all of her friends."
"Well, how many friends can she possibly have?"
"2,412. She is very popular."
"Gee. Oh, no. Can she post this without my permission?"
"Depends on your privacy settings, Tony."
"Well, obviously, I haven't got them set right. Will you get over here, McGeek, and make this go away, please?"
Did I see a look to McGee at Gibbs' settle line? Yes I did. The look says 'well, it sure going this way if he doesn't make up his mind soon and put a ring on it.'
"Tony, you know, you're getting way too old for these one-night stands. Your biological clock is ticking."
"Men don't have biological clocks. When I meet Ms. Right... I'll be ready to settle down."
"Don't ever settle, DiNozzo."
Aaaand here the Tiva moment. Ouch.
Tony the fanboy!
And it's around here that something shifted.
She's cute. And because I heard it was the original intention, what do you think? Some likeness?
Look at him with the chair. Honestly, I'd try to sit on Gibbs' chair if I was on the NCIS studio.
Kind of love Mallison's top. And again, Vance is having fun.
Ahahaha! Tony's approach with Angry Abby.
"Uh, she's in a foul mood again."
"Palmer, I have guns in my ballistics lab and I know how to use 'em."
Oh, nice Palmer/Tony moment. Poor Brenda. Kinda.
Oh Tony, no. It's only going to end with pain.
Discreetly asking for help with the number, checking first if Gibbs is not looking.
Notice how Tony avoids looking Tim in the eyes during the whole conversation. Sadly, it's the other part of their rules. If it's going to be serious with someone else…Tony didn't think he would be the one to use this one and feel a little bad about it, even try politeness. On the other hand, Tim is still not worried. Not completely. Because he knows it's going to end badly, only because Dana doesn't know Tony and will only see another fan in him. Well, he's 80% sure it'll end badly. It's Tony after all. But he won't say anything because a) he knows Tony won't listen, and b) it's the rules.
Still, the attitude to McGee and Gibbs shows he knows it's not okay.
"Give me her number."
"Whose?"
"Dana."
"Nope."
"I would like the number, please."
"I've been monitoring her cell phone, Tony; it is not on."
"Give me the number or I'll Gibbs-slap you."
Nice work, Jimmy!
Aww, Abby is so cute like that.
"Aw, shucks."
You know, the way Mallison is smiling, I wonder if she didn't push for the tour just to have Alejandro stops her and win points with Abby, making sure Abby trust him more easily.
Gibbs' revenge!
Bouncing Abby! Who stuck her hair on her collar, I think.
"And guess what I found in the cavity. He hates it when I ask him to guess."
"I thought you were going to start locking your front door."
"Well, if I did that, I'd have no social life."
"You didn't seem happy with my new status at NCIS."
"Oh, and I thought I covered that so well."
"I need to finish this. You never know when I may need to saw a lady in half."
"He's the one who pays for your $500 shoes."
"I take offense. They cost 1,200."
1200 for shoes!?!
Oh, mini-skirts are back. Couldn't get a good cap, but I want Abby's shoes from this scene.
Tell me, McGee, do you like Alejandro?
"Don't you love that word?"
"Alejandro?"
"Symposium."
And how easily take this as them being BFF and McGee over protector (the way Abby was with Susan) : he's absolutely not interested by the tattoo.
"Well, I bet he just wants to find out how many tats you have."
"Maybe I have a new one that you're never going to see."
Okay, so Gibbs called Tony to tell him about the producer/boyfriend late at night. When did Tony go to the studio, and how Ziva know what happened?
And McGee opens the fire. When he has back up.
"If Charley was Yuri, then he was a spy. Kind of like Kevin Costner's landlord in the film No Way Out."
"What does that make him, Dana Hutton and her brother's handler?"
"Are you suggesting Dana is a spy?"
"Look, I'm just saying, if I was currently writing a novel, I could not come up with a better cast of characters. We've got Lieutenant Hutton. He's a Naval officer with top-secret clearance. "
"Come on."
"Tony, she's on a first-name basis with the President of the United States."
"You two are both way off base."
Ooh, does some bitterness start escaping?
"Where's Tony?"
"Have not seen him since he got the phone call."
"Huh. Bet he's probably talking to his girl, Brenda Bittner."
Heeeee, Gibbs explains something to McGee!
"Boss, what is that?"
"Well, it's something I haven't seen in a lot of years. Microfiche. It kind of a 1970s version of one of those memory plug things, you know, that you put in the side of the computer."
"Oh, uh... flash drive."
"Yeah. Yeah, one of those."
Poor sweetie must be scared to death to trust a stranger like that.
Hmmm, old books.
Oh Dana. Tony. I told you you'll get hurt. Kinda hope she'll live. Less painful for everyone involved.
"You made us look good with the FBI. Fornell says he owes you dinner."
Poor Tony needs a hug. And to crochet rule n°10 somewhere he can see. Could it be some foreshadowing, both Tony and Gibbs having difficulties to keep their feelings separated from some cases? Choosing between the heart and the head. Whose live to save, maybe.
"I broke rule #10. Again. Never get personally involved on a case."
"Yeah. That's the rule I've always had the most trouble with."
