Waiting and waiting and waiting...

Eight hours.

I was in the nasty, yucky, germ-filled hospital for eight hours last night/this morning. Can I say, even though it was a really nice hospital, it was still GROSS! Ahem, but moving on from my fear of germs... Lol.

I think I mentioned about a few months ago that Sean had a mysterious cut in his leg and walked up to me bleeding from the knee-cap down. He wasn't in pain, just like, "ah blood!" and that was all. I cleaned it, we kept it dressed and it healed. No big deal right? It was a pretty deep cut, but it didn't bleed much and it seemed fine.

Then about a week ago, I seen this... bump under his skin right below the scar (hehe Scar...) from the first accident. I looked up stuff online and seen that sometimes hitting your leg can cause it and I didn't think anything about it. It wasn't until the night before last that I realized something was up.

Sean walked up to me with a paper-towel with some blood spots. I asked him where he was bleeding and he showed me his leg (the same one) and I seen no puncture so I was confused. I looked and prodded at the lump and it started to bleed. So, I call this pediatrician's office and ask them what it is. They said without seeing it they didn't know. Sean wasn't bothered by it at all. So neither was I.

During yesterday, the no puncture turned into a sliver and was opened. I kept cleaning it and keeping a bandaid on it through the day, hoping it was nothing. About 6pm, I was cleaning it once more and felt something SHARP. I look closer and see an piece of glass poking out. Now it's time for me to freak. I know that any FB (forigen body) in the skin will work it's way out. But still, the risk of infection scared me. John came home about 15 minutes later and I told him we had to take him to the hospital right away.

So, we get to the navy hospital and we wait... and wait... aaaand wait for about 4 hours in the waiting room. They take him back, get an x-ray and see that there is something in there (no duh). We get to the 'room' ( = bed with curtain around it) and wait and wait. To make a longer story just long, they made a small incision and got out this CHUNK of glass that was about as big as my pinkie nail and about as wide. Sean had fallen asleep before they started, woke up freaking out during and fell back asleep.

We were there until 3am and for those who know, I've been going to bed at like... 9pm as of late. I was DEAD. So, they got it all out, he didn't need stitches, and I hate hospital rooms. And Sean is perfectly fine, which I'm happy. (He's still sleeping at the moment.) And I think I'm going to try and get some more sleep. And wash off all germs that probably attacked me. YUCK! XD

EDIT: In good news, I've watched SO much Naruto last night! I'm at episode 30 and waiting for the second third set to finish DLing. (82%! YAY! DONE!) And I'm really getting into it. I liked the exam arc muchly! XD
