Part of the reason we went with my cousin's family was so I wouldn't feel bad going on all the things I wanted to go on, especially since they were all "kid rides." My son didn't want to go on the "Small World" ride until he saw that everyone else was going on. Having the young girls there gave him permission to also be a kid again.
You could always borrow some children. Are there friends you'd like to vacation with who might like to spend a day at Disney? EPCOT might be more to your liking, but for those of us, including Bill, who grew up with "Wonderful World of Disney" every Sunday night, the spinning teacups are worth going on.
My son likes rides that don't have safety restraint bars (he doesn't like thrill rides), and Disney had plenty of those. Also most rides and attractions have ramps rather than stairs. I was amazed how handicap accessible everything was, and how they even had special accommodations on the flight simulator for people in wheelchairs and their party.
We did have a grand time, but were all very ready to come home.
