Surprising Change
I placed another counter-offer on the home in Acworth on Thursday after their ridiculous offer and expected to receive another stubborn response Friday afternoon. Me and Jenna started searching for more homes Thursday night and found a few prospective properties. I looked further south and in-town but we were not as happy with anything we could find. I woke up Friday morning to an email from my agent which stated that the sellers had accepted my price but wanted to pay $2500 in closing costs rather than the full price. I gave my agent a call and told her that we wanted a minimum of $3000 in closing costs and we had a new offer within a couple of hours that matched my conditions. I signed a binding agreement Friday afternoon and we will close on April 10th if the home inspection goes well. We have 14 days to change our mind so I plan on looking at a few more homes but I think we are settled.
