The past couple of days have been a lot better than previous weeks. I haven’t had much time to write about my life because I have been busy enjoying it. Monday night I actually went out with Jenna alone, it was strange to go out on a “date” again since it has been so long. We started the night by going to
Maggiano’s for dinner. We generally avoid going there alone because we like to do the “Family Style” meal which used to require four or more people; however, they recently changed it so two people could order family style and receive some scaled back portions. Dinner was extremely good as usual and we had a dew days worth of left overs.
After dinner we went to see
I am Legend, I really didn’t know what to expect from the movie but I enjoyed it. I really didn’t think it was going to be a semi-standard zombie flick but the action was pretty well structured. I don’t think Jenna enjoyed it as much but she doesn’t get into many zombie movies.
Tuesday was a short day, I only had a few hours at work so I could make my MRI appointment. I expected to show up to the doctor’s office and wait hours again; however, I only had to fill out a couple of pages of paperwork and started the MRI immediately after I finished. The technician was actually watching me complete the paperwork so I could be rushed into the MRI. I think I spent a total of forty minutes at the doctor’s office but approximately an hour and a half in traffic. I looked at the x-rays I was given and I can’t be sure but I have a bad feeling that my knee isn’t in good shape. The gym at my office is nearly complete, I walked through it today to see what equipment was available and I was glad to see several machines that will allow me to focus on my knee strength without over stressing it. I hope that I can get into a steady exercise routine since several of my co-workers are consistent about going.
Today I felt like I got a lot of work done which is exactly what I needed. I also spoke with some of the managers about getting our pool table repaired, hopefully that will be completed soon and I can continue to improve my game. My Dad recently purchased a new
Olhausen Eclipse pool table, I believe it arrives on Jan. 6th. My love for pool was recently re-sparked and the increased access to good (and decent) pool tables is really allowing me to learn.
The apartment has been pretty bare on drinks and snacks lately so I decided to go to the store after I got home. I loaded up on items that I have been missing (coke, apple juice, cheeze-its… the healthy stuff. hah.) and our refrigerator looks much better now. After unpacking everything I noticed a single black ant, I didn’t think much of it at the time. Once Jenna got home there was a small swarm of black ants, we couldn’t find a trail or source so we hope they don’t come back. I was surprised at how well Windex can kill ants though.
I haven’t taken any real photos during the past couple of days, I haven’t had much real motivation. I will try and take a couple tomorrow since I’m planning on going to
Battle and Brew. Sadly I’ve noticed that the “No Cameras Allowed” signs have reappeared at my office, I hope I don’t catch too much grief for having my camera bag.. as long as I don’t shoot around the office it should be fine.
