Another kitten post-- Questions from a new kitten owner

With kitty foods, it's really hard to know. I used to work at a vet clinic and the most commonly suggested cat food brand was Science Diet. (Make sure it's a kitten formula) However, I have a friend that feeds both her cats raw diets. I would just choose a veterinarian you trust and ask for their advice. In the meantime, I'd go for Science Diet, which is offered at vets or at PetSmart.

My other catowner friend uses either the recycled paper pellets (Fred Meyer's has them) or the corn cob type (Target). I have a house rabbit (she uses a litterbox) and I only *only* use woodstove pellets from farm/feed stores. (They are super-cheap!) I think it just works best for bunny boxes, but you may experience the same deal as the Feline pine. It eventually breaks down to a mush. From what I can tell, with cats you have to clean regularly or otherwise they don't want to use the box.

Hope this helps!
