Hola!
Well...today I quit my job. As much as I LOOOOOOOOVED it (yeah right), I walked out. I've been complaining about it a lot lately and today, they drew the last straw. You can't bitch at me about something someone else fucked up. I'm not taking that shit...especially after the same person that bitched at me was the same person that did a walk through before I got off (after my 10 hour day) yesterday and said shit was perfect. It's not my fault that her closing manager's were freakin tool bags. Actually they were probably sitting in the office talking about a new Coach bag or something.
With that being said...I'm going to ramble now. Have you ever noticed at your place of employment that it's always "someone else's fault"? Honestly. It happens all the time. When people fuck up, instead of just sucking it up and taking the blame for their mistake, they do that [POINT ONE FINGER HERE, THE OTHER THERE] gesture to push the blame away from themselves. For example today. If it had been my fuck up, I would have been like "Shit, I'm an idiot. My bad". In this case, I didn't do anything wrong. I was told before I left that the job was complete. The funniest thing about the whole ordeal was that the person that messed up was standing right there with this "phew, Rich is getting yelled at for it" look on her face. And of course...did she grab her (virtual) nuts and step up and say it was her fault? Hell no...she got on her cell phone and called daddy to ask him for $100 so she could get this pair of shoes she HAAAAAAAAAAD to have. No she didn't get on her phone, but she sure as hell walked the hell away from the conversation with quite a quickness. When you fuck up, admit you fucked up. How hard is it? Again, nobody is perfect in this world and everyone makes mistakes. You make them, you learn from them, but you can't learn a damn thing if you don't own up to them.
One last thing...I'll only be unemployed for maybe a week...so that's not too bad. After I got off of work yesterday, I had an interview with another company and I called today and got word that I am 95% hired. Lets just hope that last 5% doesn't fuck me.
