Papua New Guinea Wa(n)hgi Peaberry 1/30/11 roast.
First hints on popping the bag, sweet chocolate, second sniff we get a light roast, a very enticing combination.
Beans grind up light in color, 3 minutes steeped in sub boiling water gives a medium brown cup, several shades short of black. Small amount of organics/oils/particulate floating - no oil slicks on this one...
Very light on the palate, well balanced and flavorful. Could drink it morning noon or night. Would go great with soy creamer/milk, and only a tiny bit of sugar for a special treat.
Best severed with some downtempo morning music a la Flying Lotus.
