I'm glad that you find it exciting. In truth, I thought you'd tell me once again that you haven't paid for a phone or phone bill in years compliments of your company.

True, but in recent years two things have changed.

One, my company now offers BYOD - so I can get whatever I want and they will pay for the service - not really my thing except they recently "upgraded" my phone to an Android, which I hate.

Secondly, I got both my kids iPhones awhile back, and this gives me a little more wiggle room with their upgrade plan.

That's fantastic news!

I thought that it would be useful to someone if I were to put this information on a blog, I just never imagined who it might be useful to.

I'd be curious to know what you plan to do (once you figure that out) now that you're armed with this information.

I was debating whether or not to post this here. I've made some moves to get back into writing publicly, and I really didn't want this to be the first post. But I did want to put this on the internet somewhere for posterity's sake. I thought it would fit better here on LJ because I've posted all my other Apple product buy stories here, though in truth, this post really isn't in the same spirit. (Maybe things have changed that radically over the years?)
