Yay for the first new fic of the school year. It's neither Roman-fic nor biology-fic, but I guess a cross between political-fic and Greek-anthropomorphism-fic. Probably doesn't even really fit in here, but...

Yeah. Liberty/Justice femmeslash. Slight reference to the statue of Justice in the Department thereof, which Mr. Ashcroft deemed inappropriate because she was showing her naked breast and demanded to have it covered up. There was, understandably, some uproar over this.
Verdict
“I’m sorry,” Justice murmurs, against Liberty’s throat, voice sweet. “It’s just… you know. I was disoriented after someone tried to change my chiton, and there was so much noise I could barely hear anything, and…”
“I know,” Liberty states, into Justice’s hair, which is loose over her shoulders and not bound back by the band over her eyes, which Liberty remembers slipping off during the Supreme Court’s deliberations, right before… well. No need to go into that; no need to make the public have to swallow that particular revelation. “But I’m not mad. We got it done eventually.”
“I hear Massachusetts is getting ideas,” Justice purrs, eventually, fingers running through Liberty’s curls, set free by the crown, which is lying neglected on the floor from where she dropped it as the verdict was written. “Maybe we should go encourage her.”
“In a bit. I want to take advantage of our work, first. Again,” Liberty responds, and Justice smiles, blind eyes lighting up with love.
