boulderlily's 3 day cleanse - buy now!

I got an extremely awesome juicer for Christmas because I felt like I was wasting my money on V8 and Naked juice smoothies. It's a beast and I like getting the most out of it so I make fresh juices 3-4 times a week. Well, this week I decided to do a ~juice cleanse~ which didn't pan out since I was working, busy and still had to make dinner for my husband. I drank juice during the day but I ate dinner all week.

I convinced my husband to do a cleanse with me this weekend since he was off on Friday and we're making an effort to get healthier before we have a baby. I read a lot of SERIOUS BIZ juice fasts online, in this juicing book I also got for Christmas, and all sorts of other stuff. Everything varies so much that I decided to say FUCK IT! and I made my own cleanse based on a billion different websites and my own stubborn ideas.

It has been AMAZING! I feel all chilled and relaxed, my skin seems a lot brighter and I just feel a lot more alert and healthy. I figured I'd type it out here because I plan on doing it whenever we have a long weekend since it was so ~rejuvinating~ and I enjoy forcing my husband to eat as many vegetables as possible. I tried taking a video of myself making one recipe but Marley was watching me and I was intimidated and a lemon ended up bouncing out of the machine and making me look like a FOOL. I will probably upload it anyway though because Marley looks cute in it.

I used recipes from this book:

which I really like since it's kinda hard to find direct juice recipes online. I'll type out all the recipes I used though.

This is my juicer:

- garlic
- Bragg liquid aminos

Basically:
I put the recipes in order. Days 1 and 2 can be switched all up as much as you want. Day 3 goes in a specific order though.

All of these juices are awesome on their own but I like to dilute them with either water or iced green tea.

- In the morning and afternoon, I would drink my first juice and take my vitamins. An hour or so later I'd drink some coffee.
- As snacks I'd eat a handful of almonds or trailmix. I drank a bottle of kombucha everyday.
- At night I'd drink my ~final juice~ and do some yoga and take a walk.
- After that, I'd have a few cups of tea. It doesn't matter when you drink tea... it just soothes your stomach and has some herbs to aid in digestion and whatnot.
- Drink lots of water too!

Most of the produce I used was organic, but it's not necessary. I also use this to wash all my produce:

I really recommend trying it, or some variation of it! It feels amazing.
