If you are or want to learn a foreign language, this is your lucky day. Pimsleur is the best audio language tapes around. Unfortunately, they're quite expensive at around $600 for a complete set. However, if you are able to download free music without guilt, then you can do this without guilt.
To make sure you want to try it, listen to the samples on the right of the
Pimsler page. You'll see there are many languages that they do. What makes this different than typical audio language learning is that this is much more interactive and less repetition and rote memorization. You're actually thinking things through so you store the information better. If you do this, you should do just one a day, every day through out the entire language program. Each one is 30 minutes. You shouldn't worry about repeating a lesson unless you get less than 80%. An entire language program takes about four months if you do it correctly. You can always burn it and pop a CD into an mp3 player if you're on the road in order to make sure you listen every day. Still up for the challenge? Here's what you do:
1. If you haven't already download
Azureus, so you can get Bit Torrents.
2. Next, search for Torrents.
Torrent Spy,
BitTorrent Search,
TorrentBox, and
The Pirate Bay are good places to look.
3. Follow the initial directions on ONLY one EVERY DAY (might start later in a set, of course if you have experience) and make sure you have a quiet place to listen.
Hope this helps some people out. Oh yeah, you're gonna need a high speed connection to do this. It will take a while even then.
