I just got a new computer. It's a desktop iMac - it was my mom's computer and she sent it to me because she upgraded. It's extremely simple and powerful. What a good machine

if you have a firewire cable, you can hook it up between the ibook and the imac. Then turn off the ibook and turn it back on while holding down T. This boots it up into "target mode" where the whole computer just acts like a firewire harddrive, then you can just grab the data.
