Subtext
Did anyone else pick up on the H/Cuddy subtext on this week's episode?
Ok, that first scene in her office, when she made that throaty sound in her, um, throat in reaction to the reasoning behind the strangulation - felt like something was going on there between her and House. Especially cuz he turned and looked at her for a long moment. I'm probably reading too much into this, but hey, that's what subtext is for, right? And the fact that the shot was on House (and not on the whole room waiting for what she was about to say) is telling.
Also, the scene outside the pharmacy, when he said "actually I was talking about your blouse" (I totally saw that coming!:D), she just smiled, like it's what she expected to hear. It's comfortable, familiar banter. Then, she proceeded to advise him on how to dress!! And he listened!!! Gah. Cameron could never dress up House that nice. Who's up for a fic in which House tells Cuddy what to wear? I might write it myself, if I find time. Just tossing the idea out there.
