A belated Happy Birthday,
shagsthedustmop! I hope you had a wonderful day with lots of presents and drinks galore, appropriate to
the day the prohibition ended.

After a week of sneezing and coughing abound (Thank
you for your hugs and well wishes and hugs back to everyone who needs some!) I'm finally back at work. I've forwarded my germs to Hubby, poor lad.
Today is our 10th anniversary, and we'd planned to go out and have a romantic dinner at our favorite restaurant, but with Hubby not feeling well and me not being completely sound as a bell either we've cancelled this and resolved on a candlelit dinner at home. Yesterday evening I made Hubby's favorite yoghurt cherry cake so that he has something to enjoy for the day, and he's going to cook something yummy for the evening. I can't wait to get home.
I'm going to catch up on flist and reply to comments during the next few days (I hope I haven't missed another Balloon PollTM...)

This is probably nothing of special interest for you people who live in California, but there was an earthquake in Germany with a strength of 5.4 during the night from Saturday to Sunday - something that doesn't happen often here. I'm living about 200km away from the epicenter, but it was still noticeable here. Well, not for me; I was sound asleep and wouldn't wake up if the end of the world had come, but Hubby has a very light sleep and woke up. He told me that he was wondering why everything was clattering, and that he thought he was dreaming because usually, things don't clatter just because. Later, in the morning, we found a few cuddly toys that had fallen from the shelves, and in the news they talked about an earthquake.
This was the first earthquake in my live, and I just slept through it. Meh.
