We drove up Highway 84 from Santa Fe through the Chama Valley on our way to Pagosa Springs and Durango.
It was so beautiful, I had farm/ranch/barn envy.

The rolling hills, the mountains, the trees all yellow and perfect in their autumn wonder, rivers snaking around through little towns. Last time I drove through was in a snowstorm, which was pretty cool, but I didn’t get a chance to actually see anything while trying not to slide off of the road.
This place looked just like the side of a Pepperidge Farm box.

We stopped to whoop and holler in Echo Amphitheatre on our way up, which is always fun.
