But that doesn't mean I'll be sitting on my ass doing nothing. I found out that my research paper is due this Monday, the same day as my next TA (Text Assignment) for American Government. By the way, a TA is a worksheet that has a buttload of questions to look in the book to answer, like say, 30 or so of them. So I have that TA sheet and my research paper due this Monday. I'm also working Friday and Saturday, like always. This cuts down my available time to work on these two things to basically tomorrow and Sunday.
Right now all I have done on my research paper is 10 or so notecards. That's it. And I have the required number of sources (6 of them). I haven't even started on the TA yet.
I asked my mom when I got home from work tonight if I could stay home from school tomorrow and work on these things, and she approved. So hopefully I'll get a lot done. Oh, and let me tell you about how my smashing day at work went.
About 90 minutes into my shift, I was taking this lady's groceries out, and she had one of those metal racks on the roof of her station wagon that's used to carry bikes. I bent down to put the groceries on the floorboard of her backseat, and WHAM. I hit my right eye on one of the metal bars of the rack. Ouch....she was nice about it though. She said she's done it too, and said she was sorry. I told her it wasn't her fault and didn't make a big deal out of it. Then when I get back in the store, I go in the breakroom and wash my eye out with water, and I explained the situation to Candace and Wanda. Candace told me I should go get a bag of ice to put on it. I grabbed a plastic bag and went over to the ice dispenser in the drink machine, in the deli. I put the bag under it and got some ice, but then barely hit the switch for the drinks and got soda on both of the sleeves of my longsleeve shirt......I went into the bathroom and changed out of my longsleeve shirt and tried to make the best out of the last three hours of my shift. I had the distinct honor of cleaning bathrooms tonight too! Ah well...the good thing about cleaning bathrooms is no one's bugging you while you're doing it. Finally got off work at 10 PM. And that's the end of my story. Good night.
