After I got home from school at 3:10 (I stopped for gas on the way home), I changed into my work clothes and got back in the car at 3:20. Then I did the dumbest thing I've done in a while. It takes me 5 minutes to get to work if I go the shortest route. Well, I hate having to wait in the breakroom to clock in, especially if there's other employees in there, and so I decided I'd take a more roundabout route through Maple Ridge so I could listen to my Amon Tobin CD (which rocks by the way). So I guess I have this really bad perception of how long it takes for me to drive to places, because I pulled into the Publix parking lot at 3:31 and ended up clocking in a minute late. I know that you're only *technically* late if it's 4 or 5 minutes or more....but I'm trying to cut back on tardies. At my first employee evaluation I got a bad grade on punctuality, and so I'm trying to improve it as much as I possibly can.
Work was alright. I was actually feeling good, up until I had to leave. Amon Tobin's music puts me in such a good mood, lol. His music is quirky and energetic...but tonight I had to vacuum the roll-up rugs and the foyers, and I didn't get to start until 8:15. That left me with only 45 minutes to get it done, and normally it takes me at least an hour. So I was busting my ass outside vacuuming those dumb things, and baggers taking out groceries were telling me that I only had a few minutes left until 9 PM, so I thought I could MAYBE get the rugs done, at the very least before I left. It was hot and muggy out there tonight too...so I finally get the rugs done and roll them inside and check the clock, and it's only 8:45 . That made me so mad. All those baggers outside were telling me I only had a few minutes to finish up, when I had like 15 minutes, which was more than enough time. Blah.....
Well, I need to leave and do a little Economics homework. Huge assignment due on Thursday, and I don't want to put it off until Wednesday night. And I showed the cartoon caricatures to Chris, Lucas, and Jon tonight. Haha...but showing the drawings to them made me realize just how crappy Liz came out looking. I have to rework her drawing, and Chris's was even worse (the one I erased), so you get the general idea. But hey, I'm just an amateur, right? Beginners are allowed to screw up.... :D
Oh yeah, one last thing. Heather (from school and work) asked if she could work for me Friday since she missed some hours last week. Of course, I was both surprised and overjoyed because I hardly ever get Fridays off, and this Friday Miles is having some movie thing at his house....so now I get to go! (Special Ed voice) YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
