Christmas Cometh

Damn. I swear it just got foggier over the past 2 minutes. From I-can't-see-the-end-of-the-road foggy to I-can't-see-my-own-hand-slapping-me-in-the-face foggy. And it's cold.

Yesterday was awesome. One of the best days I've had in a while, probably. Went to school, clad in my Christmassy getup, saw the staff panto (which was fairly poorly written - the only funny bits were seeing teachers dressed up in funny costumes - so next year I might see if I can offer my hand at script-writing). Then we went to Bob, where there was much XBox, Chinese food and French explosives being thrown about. Oh what a larf.

In the evening 'twas Elle's Christmas party, so we tinselled/santa hatted up and headed on down. It was pretty good, actually. Songs weren't as bad as they could have been (and my request for Bon Jovi was honoured), so I was happy dancing for about half the night. For the other half I was helping freak out Jess, though perhaps not as effectively as Ant and Bob, who seemed to have a slight malfunctioning of their belts in such that their asses were always in Jess' face. Funny? I think so.

The only thing about parties (perhaps at this age, I dunno if it changes as you get older) is that they can tend to be quite cliquey. Not only did half the girls seem to have been paired up with some guy, but those who weren't stuck close to their female companions and made it hard to dance your way in edgeways. Perhaps I need to loosen up a bit? Maybe.

So today I was horridly awoken at some ungodly hour despite my rather late night, because I wanted to get an early start in to go shopping. Brent Cross at Christmas time? Not nice, hence the early start. I was going to go to e-play and the bank beforehand, although it turned out they both opened at 10am. Whatever happened to 9-5? So I said bugger to that and headed off to Brent Cross. It was actually really good that early in the day. I didn't have to queue for anything and I got most of my shopping done in an hour, but after that I just wanted to get out of there because the queues had begun to back up so much. I struggled my way through a bit more shopping until I'd finally got all I had and made my way back home.

I hate shopping.

General Thoughts:
*Ahhhh the holidays. Awesome. I so need the relaxation.
