Today has been a very up-and-down day. The thing is, this is becomming a bit of a trend. My days have been fluctuating so much in merriment that it is getting hard to gauge whether or not a day has been a good day or a bad day.
But let's start at the beginning. In the beginning it was good. I have created Alec's Get Psyched! playlist:
Rage Against the Machine - Kick out the Jams
Blur - Song 2
Cauterize - Shooting Stars
Dream Theater - About to Crash (Reprise)
Guns 'n' Roses - Sweet Child o' Mine
Offspring - Staring at the Sun
Joe Satriani - Motorcycle Driver
Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
Kiss - God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You
Boston - More than a Feeling
Reel Big Fish - Take on Me
Smash Mouth - All Star
Tenacious D - Tribute
Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Black Betty
Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name
OK...some of those songs aren't quite a psychadelic as the others. But if you need a good psyche. Listen to any/all of the above and I can guarantee you'll be raring to go on even the gloomiest of Monday mornings.
So yes. The day began well. With a steady decline that could be traced through the boredom of Physics and Maths. My day didn't really spike until lunch, when we were all hanging out in the lunch hall. Not only was it cool to finally be with some friends (for I'm with none of them in lessons/free periods), but we had school-boyish fun staring at the girl at the table across from us. Of course, this would happen to be the girl I've had my eye on and not had the cajones to approach and learn even her name (Rob mentioned it today, but I wasn't paying attention - Rob will probably get there before I do anyway). It was obvious we were staring and I found it quite entertaining really, to enjoy such childish games - innocence is lost on some people far too early.
So yup, that was about the highlight of my day, until Chemistry, which has been proving to be the most interesting of all my lessons (both in curriculum and company).
And my task to do something scary every day is going majorly downhill. It's surprising how few things there are at school with which you can scare yourself. Most tasks involve approaching the opposite sex, but even the obvious simple problems of overcoming pure fear are added to by the complications of timetabling and cliques.
My days have tallied up like this so far:
Saturday - spoke to a random person at the bus stop. Extra points for continuing converstaion after boarding the bus.
Sunday - didn't go out.
Monday - failed.
Tuesday - failed.
Wednesday - going to try to join rugby.
Thursday - learn girl's name (yeah right).
Alec out.
General Thoughts:
*Nothing like a little Futurama to cheer me up.
