I was at home in Arizona alone when a lightning storm broke out. Being the person that I am, I rushed outside to have a better view. Lighting was flashing all over, in good distance away and the dust was just starting to pick up.
Deiciding I needed a better view I began to climb the fence around our yard so that I could either hop it or sit on top of it. So I crawled up the trash can and onto the wall.
Just as I was about to hop over the wall lighting flashes again, hitting the ground directly in front of me. All I saw for a brief moment was brilliant purple light.
Had I jumped down I most certainly would have been hit. I jumped down and looked at the driveway around me and the wall, there were no signs of it being hit at all by lightning. The only reason I know I didn't make this up was because as I shakily walked to the front yard I heard two people down the street running over to me shouting, "Did you see that?!"
Most certainly I did.
