Gilman Girls:
Patti, Marcia, and My Coworkers Are Awesome!
My outstanding adoption process mentors, Patti and Marcia, headed to Colombia this week and generously offered to take down a few items for Paula. I sent a small photo album with some pictures from her visit in November that I knew she didn't have yet and a beautiful dress from her cousin Claire that I thought would be perfect for Presentation Day.
Patti and Marcia proved once again how wonderful they are by taking pictures (and a
video!) of Paula receiving her gifts and emailed them to me such that I saw them right after the luncheon my awesome coworkers held for me today! As I said to P&M, they were with Paula in Colombia thinking about me while I was celebrating with my coworkers thinking about Paula!
I'm also uploading another photo they sent from today that made me think "Where is Paula and who is that gorgeous teenager in the pink jacket??" Check the photo gallery for that one. She is so pretty!! Her beautiful smile makes my heart smile.
Thank you both again, Patti and Marcia! It's like you know adoptive parents and what will make their day. :-D And the sincerest of thanks also to my wonderful coworkers for gifts more generous than I could ever have imagined. You blew me away today.

More for LJ!
My coworkers seriously rendered me speechless today with their generosity. Apparently, they've been collecting for my gift for a while across multiple departments that I work with such that today they handed me cash and gift cards totaling over $500. I was stunned. I've collected for many a coworker gift in my four years there and I've never seen a gift even close to this. Somehow, I managed to wait until I got home to cry.
Even their presentation was beautiful! I am going to frame the card because the message is just so touching. And they indicated that the Mall of America gift card is specifically for Paula!
There was also a princess cake! I'm totally showing this photo to Paula in the morning during our Skype call. :D
And for those of you who don't feel up to clicking through to Gilman Girls, here are the photos Patti and Marcia took of my beautiful daughter today. How sweet is this dress???? A hand-me-down!! Thanks, Claire!
I sure hope Ana Cecelia is only about five feet tall! Patti took these from the floor and Paula looks like she grew six inches - and six years - since November! And I am totally jealous of her cute little figure. :-9
Be sure to check out the video linked above as well.
What a fantastic day all around!! I feel like the luckiest person on earth! One more week!!
