Current Stress Level - Burnout
Well I gave my last lecture this morning. It was pretty rough. The kids had a harder time understanding the material than I had anticipated. So, I got a lot of questions... at least they asked them. This is such a quiet group, even when I stop for 45 sec in a lecture and wait for a response, half the time I hear crickets chirping.
The lecture was rough for other reasons too - I think I managed about two hours of sleep last night. I went to bed around midnight, but between an unhappy stomach, and a monster asthma attack, I woke up at 2 or so, and wasn't able to get back to sleep. So maybe what I was saying made sense as it came out of my mouth, but really didn't make as much sense as I thought.
In other news, my clones didn't work. I have a feeling that the antibiotic stock I used was bad - there was no selection for transformants. *sigh*
So, now I have to teach one of the techs how to clone, so he can do it after I am gone. I really had wanted this to work, so that he wouldn't have to deal with that - but I guess today just isn't my lucky day.
Oh yeah... all that writing I need to do? I still need to get that done too.
