Wow, what a trip. I'm glad you made it out and back safely. I hope your ear is doing better.

Don't lose heart; it's folks like you that change the world for the better. It's always hard to be the one who isn't afraid to be a little different.

My ear is definitely feeling better, but with all this beautiful spring blooming that we're having, I definitely have the allergies.

... and thanks ... it's nice to hear something supportive after a really rough week :)

:( I felt so sad because my gas tank was terribly empty. If I had the three+ days I have the feeling it would have taken, I would have hitch hiked out there.

People are retarded. Sounds like you got to play with big kids AND seven year olds. Yaaaay.

Go Schnee, you are the creationist! =P

Many of them have communication problems too. For all that they're supposed to represent the unvarnished truth, a lot of weird stuff goes on. Some of them just aren't grounded in common sense. I'm sorry that you got accused of being a creationist.

That's a very good point. In a lot of cases we "believe" that the data "prove" our hypotheses, but there is nothing out there saying that in a few years when we understand the system a bit better, we will "believe" that we were wrong.

The problem with my research comes down to belief on what a species is. My group believes the definition is different than the opposing group, and thus, we get conflict. The core of the conflict though is the difference in belief.
