Yay it's Friday!
My shiny new laptop arrived yesterday.
I'm really impressed with it. The transition to Vista wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated. I was all concerned about the freeware I had for pop genetics analysis, but since most of it runs in Java, it runs fine. Figures that the one program I have issues with is one that you actually have to pay for. PAUP is a PITA.
I had my pre-employment physical/drug test on Weds, so, that is the last hurdle to clear before everything with the new job is all official.
My current boss is finally taking the high road about me taking the new job, so that's good.
I'm still swamped with work, but hopefully I'll be able to surface for a while this weekend.
