Summary: Dutch and Johnny investigate a mysterious abandoned RAC outpost, get in trouble, and solve a question of trust.
Why I love it: The trust and teamwork between Dutch and Johnny was one if not the main reason why I loved Killjoys (come to think of it, I should finish watching season 2.) This fic is set at the beginning of their partnership, when they're not yet as strong partners, and that trust and teamwork is tested. Great fic.

Why I love it: This is a beautiful post-canon fic for Lyra that looks at what she lost, what she could regain, where she can go and how she starts to figure out what she wants.

Summary: Mrs. Pollifax anticipates a quiet holiday with her daughter Jane's family, but instead there's spy trouble afoot.
Why I love it: I only read the first Mrs. Pollifax book once many years ago, but from what I remember this fic captures the tone of it perfectly. Mrs. Pollifax is her curious, determined, smart, and unapologetic self, and everyone around her finds herself drawn into that. Her relationship with Farrell is particularly great, and the Christmas setting works very well.

Why I love it: I know very little about these characters and only from fannish osmosis, but this was interesting and fun nevertheless. Valeria is the most adorable tiny scientist.

Why I love it: As is obvious from fandom, title, pairing, and summary, this is pure crack. The kind of fic you either love or hate. But even if I disliked it I'd at least enjoy the knowledge that it exists. Fandom is awesome.

An AU where everything is the same, but some of them have magic.
Why I love it: I don't know the canon so there were many things I didn't quite understand, but I loved the atmosphere the story created: sort of, idk, bleak, not hopeless but oppressive a bit and creepy too. Compulsion magic is scary.

Summary Nova finds Skye and Skye finds herself, and together they fight like hell.
Why I love it: I haven't seen the movie, but clearly movies about sharks in hurricanes demand a story where survivors band together and take care of each other and prepare to fight more sharks, and this is a great one.
