Lessons learned the hard way: you cannot use the multicols environment (from the multicols package) to put eight columns on DIN A0 paper (using the a0poster package) in TeX; if you try to, you'll end up with dimensions too large for TeX to handle.

Eek.

I propose that two new laws be enacted around the world: that those who demand non-standard citation styles be required to provide

1. a justification for deviating from well-known, well-established, well-understood, sensible standards; and
2. a biblatex style implementing said style.

Another thing that TeXstudio sadly lacks is built-in support for the nomencl package's workflow. This package requires an extra run of makeindex (with certain parameters) in between two LaTeX runs to generate the data file used for the nomenclature section; there was a feature request to integrate this eight years ago, which was curtly denied by ( Read more... )

I use TeXstudio for editing (La)TeX documents. It's a great tool, and I'm generally very happy with it.
