Steam recommendations
Am I the only one who's feeling that Steam never recommends anything worthwhile, as far as games go?
I'm just browing my “discovery queue” - supposedly tailored specifically to my tastes -, and so far it has contained such gems as I am Fish, Gas Station Simulator, and Timberborn (“Humans are long gone. Will your lumberpunk beavers do any better?”).
Those were the first three games I got recommended, in fact. I haven't looked at the rest yet; I'm not sure I even should.
(FWIW, it's not like I'm using Steam a lot, but I have a few games on there; the last one I played and in fact finished was Doublefine's remastered version of Day of the Tentacle, a very faithful reproduction of the original. You could even play Maniac Mansion on Ed's computer! (Not remastered.)
