encouragement from unlikely places
So, I was out for a run this morning. BTW, it is the most incredibly *gorgeous* fall morning here in Denver. I'm like "YES I love living here." I ran up to the park to dodge the goose poop (I look at it as "agility drills"), and there was a peewee football game coalescing on the west side of the park. All the parents were parking their cars around the edge. I was looping around for the second time. I was deep in thought, so I must have had the most terrible grimace on my face. And jolting me out of my stupor, came a voice from one of the cars.
This big dude in a tricked out Explorer calls out of his window to me, "Keep workin' hard, baby! Keep workin' hard!"
HEE!!!
I busted into a huge grin and called back a "Thank you!" And then I was off like a shot. It was just what I needed to eke out that last oomph of effort. So thank you, random dude! You made my workout better!
Now off to Las Vegas for the game. Go Air Force! Beat UNLV!
