2008, we hardly knew you.
Do I bother with a summary of that collection of 366 days? Do I try to write about highlights I cannot clearly recall? Do I define a period in my life by the arbitrary position of the Earth relative to the Sun?
I could mention:
- Awesome housing arrangement
- Car dying
- Trip to Vietnam
- Awesome ladyfriend
- Creative successes
- The greater number of creative failures (or "absences of success")
- Steady improvement in mood, optimism, lifestyle, understanding
- Awesomeness of Chicken Pox
- Benefits of technology (the intertubes, Foxtel IQ, Kubuntu, sweet phone)
... but I won't.
I will simply dump the memories of 2008 into a mind-folder called "Really should have written about that and probably taken some photos too". Stupid laziness.
Still, if I forget about having done awesome things, then doing them again will still feel fresh!
