Weird Day

Today has been a strange day. This morning I truly couldn't wake up... I finally got up, took my shower, ate breakfast, all the normal morning things... but I still felt like I could fall back asleep any second (very odd for me, the morning person). It didn't go away until after I was at work for a while, I even had problems driving to work this morning because I was so groggy, it's like when you take a sleeping pill and it hasn't worn off by the next morning. It finally wore off, but only after 2 midol and a Large coffee. Yet now I'm very happy (boarding giddy) and I can't really say why. Granted I got lots of good news yesterday, I don't have any more classes this week and part of my senior design project will end up being much simpler than I previously thought. My group had orginally planned 2 meetings for this particular design item (moment frames) because our homework on moment frames took close to 12 hrs of work... then yesterday the prof shows us the way he wants us to design them, and it will probably take only 2 hrs (happy giddiness). I guess I'll just have to see how the rest of this day goes... I hope it becomes more normal.

Oh, I had a wonderful weekend. DH and I went up to NJ to see his sister and family. Well, that part was kinda crazy, we ended up having a houseful. Another couple friends of theirs came up so we had 9 adults, 1 preteen, and 2 babies in a relatively small house (4 bed, 2 bath). I got sick on Friday and didn't move much... but I did get to see me newest nephew. He is sooooooo adorable, he's 3 months old and ~16 lbs, very chunky baby. I'll have to put up pictures at myspace. Anyway, Natalie kept commenting about how DH and I need to get one of our own since I'm so good w/ babies. I laughed, but it has gotten me thinking, especially with what happened last week. Maybe we should think about having kids sooner... like 1-1.5 years instead of 4. I swear we're surrounded by babies (my next door neighbor's baby just started toddling around last week).

I'm also still reved up about this move.. though I need to hear from BNSF soon. My contact, Melodi, said I should hear about my physical/drug test soon... and I have to get that before I get put in the BNSF system... and I need to be in the system before Primacy (relocation company) will contact me... grrr... times running out, we're moving in 7 weeks! We did send in a rental application for an apartment in the area yesterday. Actually we sent it in last Thursday but forgot to include a check w/ for the application fee. (oops)

Well, I have to run... I might want to be somewhat productive here at work. :-P
