Bridges

Today has been amazing... I'm down in Pasco, now normally I detest Pasco, but today it was 65+ degrees outside and I was able to go around in short sleeves for the first time since probably October. Also, it's been wonderful because we were fixing a moveable bridge and I actually got to go on top. I wasn't at the top of the center truss (the highest spot) but I was at the top of the truss near the towers and we went up and down a few times trying to get the cable situated correctly. We were replacing one of the cables that helps to lift the bridge when boats want to go under. It's a lift span, which means it's got two towers and the span between those towers is raised and lowered while maintaining a level surface, no tilting. Not like the double basteal in Chattanooga (the one beside the walking bridge). I was thrilled to get up there and work; especially since the weather was nice. It was also nice because they actually let me help some. Not much I just ran the wench motor, but it's significantly better than just standing around taking up room, on a relatively small platform area. Anyway, thats all I wanted to jot for now. Take care.
