I've been trying to mentally cast Ms. Marvel

Not necessarily who should play her in the movie they're not making, but just how she might look. How bout this?

Her powers are from SCIENCE! not exercise. Although I grant you, she's not muscular enough. Dunno, I was trying to figure out the face.

But her body breaks the illusion. She's just too skinny to play the part of a badass ex-military secret agent type person!

I wish casting directors would go with more athletic women, more often. There's such a skewed sense of women's strength and attractiveness.

Rutina Wesley, isn't a big girl, but man is she fit:

I could definitely see her as a hero.

I'd also love to point artists to some female MMA fighters, and weight lifters for body reference. There are all different sizes and shapes represented (tall, short, thick, thin), but they're all unmistakeably fit.

I don't understand this comment, tbh. Carol's costume is a swimsuit with boots. irl she'd look like a professional athlete with questionable taste in footwear. And whore-y? Come on.
