I'm giving serious thought to writing...

Pepper Potts/Rachel Dawes.

Obviously it's the hotter crossover pairing. I mean, come on people. They're also far more compatible than the m/m alternative (that being Tony/Bruce - yeah no, wtf?).

Has anyone written this? If not, why not?

I think I could take the weight that Begins gave her, use the new stuff from TDK and do something awesome with her. If she hadn't been Holmes (who I didn't actually mind all that much), I think she would have gotten more attention. TDK though, was I think a given - Bruce obviously needed more motivational die offs in order to move forward with his mission.

I'm enjoying the lack of nipple armor, though!

I'd just as rather no one wear skeevy crime fighting costumes. No man-panties. No belly tops. No nipple armor. Whoops, my idealism is showing!

They redesigned Ms. Marvel's costume for their latest cartoon and she has pants. Rejoice!

That's basically Storm's classic outfit. I don't mind it on her, as she's a canonical nudist who's impervious to the elements.

When they bring back Jan (not if, when) they had best not change her costume. It's not just her best costume, but one the better modern designs, full stop. It's so utterly perfect for the character!

I'll post some Claremont X-Men after the migration for you. It's very close to her first outfit, which had strange cutouts and such. The 90s costume was the one I grew up with, but was in truth a huge departure for the character. Here are a few of her better costumes. You can see how the current Alan Davis costume came straight from the original.

While I love Jan's CLAMP-magical-girl-style costume parade prior to the yellow and black costume's appareance in late volume 3, I lovelovelove the yellow and black modern Wasp costume. It's not only perfect for her, it perfectly compliments Hank's Yellowjacket costume as well, which makes the lame 13-year-old shipper in me very happy (though the Yellowjacked costume really needs a redesign to dispense with the stupid whatever-they-ares on his shoulders).

In my head, Jan eventually retires from superheroing when she hits about 50 and becomes Edna Mode, but bubblier and without the accent.

No man-panties.

B-b-but what about Robin?

Honestly, I would have so much admiration for a filmmaker if they introduced Robin and managed not to shy away from that costume or him being a kid/young teen at the start of being Robin.

Then again, I'm one of those jerks who always complains when stuff doesn't look like it does in the comics. I hate the whole body armour thing. What, magic super high-tech kevlar isn't good enough now?

I'm not sure if Nolan realizes how much he's hamstrung himself in this with his refusal to incorporate sidekicks.

That decision puzzles me, frankly. Batman has *always* had a Robin, since the days when Bob Kane and Bill Fingers were first producing the comic - Dick showed up less than a year after the first issue came out. Even in Dark Knight Returns, there's Carrie Kelly (who I still mourn never appeared in Batman Beyond. I am sad and alone in my Carrie/Terry shipping).

I was kind of hoping, given that they basically stole Harvey Dent's backstory and gave it to Rachel in Begins, that TDK knight would give us a female Two Face, but I suspect that concept would have been too awesome for Hollywood (given that they didn't even have Harley Quin/Dr. Quinzel cameo in TDK, and sidelined Babs in favor of a son Jim Gordon never previously had).

She doesn't even get a name in the credits, she's "Gordon's Daughter" OMGWTFBBQ asldljufhk aauuugh!

And suddenly, I am glad we didn't bother to watch the credits. I was already far enough into angry-comics-fan rage by the end over the way they totally wasted their chance to get any real use out of Two Face and the fact that they cleverly managed to make Rachel the women in two men's refrigerators.
