I propose that this season of Supernatural should end with Michael taking an alternate vessel, and throwing down with Mark!Lucifer. Said vessel being Gina Torres. y/y?
Castiel struggles against the impulse to drop to his knees. "Brother," Michael says. She grips his chin and forces him to look up, to meet her gaze. "It has been long since we've talked, little brother."
"Yes, brother, it has been some time," Castiel says. He is rather grateful that Micheal did not take Dean as a vessel, but surely Micheal will further punish him for his disobedience.
Somewhere behind Castiel, Dean mutters. "Damn, who knew Micheal would be that hot?"
Castiel is overwhelmed by Michael's appearance. He had forgotten what it was like to stand in the presence of heaven's fury. Michael looks at him, no judgement in his gaze, and Castiel thinks that perhaps, there is hope.
"Seriously," Dean says. In his peripherally vision, Castiel can see him elbow his brother. "The archangel Michael is smoking."
"Interesting choice of vessels, brother," Gabriel speaks up, stepping out from behind Sam. Castiel decides not to refer to it as cowering because he's feeling charitable today.
Micheal smiles. "It wouldn't have done to upset our little brother so by taking Dean from him." The Archangel smiles again as she let's got of Castiel's chin to smooth her dress. "And you know I prefer dresses."
"Oh come on," scoffs Gabriel. "So big brother finally shows up, large and in charge."
"Seriously - me and Cas? We're just friends."
"Shut up," hisses Sam.
"I have been... away." Michael's gaze is as distant as she has been these long eons. She turns that gaze now on Castiel. "Have you found our father, yet?"
"Please tell me that's not the plan," says Gabriel.
Michael ignores Gabriel's snark (Castiel thinks that snark is the appropriate term, or perhaps griping) as usual and turns back to Castiel. "I have much work to do. Continue your search - it is needful."
"While you were off contemplating all the rocks in the asteroid belt, the rest of us were dealing with the reality that he. Is. Dead."
Michael's true self flares. Sam and Dean see it only as a glow, but Castiel and Gabriel can see the anger on her true face. "Do not presume to speak on this matter, mouse. Go back to hiding if you haven't the strength for what's to come."
"Can't you just-" Sam makes a cutting gesture with his hands. Given his enormous frame, it would be intimidating to most mortals. Castiel merely sidesteps his flailing arms. "Forget it
