Pictures of you, pictures of me

Well, it certainly has been a while. Hopefully this will be a more frequent occurrence now that life has calmed down.

I've been back from school for the summer for about 3 weeks now and it's been fairly uneventful. Most of the time I've spent cleaning out my room from all of the years of unnecessary saving and clutter. Other than that I've been reading and writing and doing a lot more art like I used to. Not to mention, a decent amount of post-breakup personal maintenance, which is so necessary and refreshing.

However, I have a job now at Westchester Country Club starting Sunday, so things will be picking up again and I will no longer have the pleasure of sleeping until 1pm everyday. I'm excited for the job since I've been doing the same thing every summer since I was about 5.

I also plan on getting a lot of reading done. Here's my summer reading list so far in no particular order:
1.The Post Birthday World   Lionel Shriver

2. The Elements of Style   Wendy Wasserstein

3. Magical Thinking and Possible Side Effects   Augusten Burroughs (Particularly excited for these because several friends have recommended this author to me. Plus they had an Augusten Burroughs and David Sedaris sale at Borders! haha)

4. When you are Engulfed in Flames and Holidays on Ice   David Sedaris (My love!)

5. I was Told there would be cake   Sloane Crosley

6. The Pessimist's Guide to History   Doris Flexner and Stuart Berg Flexner

7. I also have the summer fiction issue of The New Yorker to read at my leisure.

And I'm always open to suggestions!

Quote: "There's an anchor pulling on my heart, and it's deep in the water but it can't take me down. Tracin' faces with fingers and we're just the same as we were, just our eyes never found what I see now. My feet are on the ground."
