The law school musical finally ended last weekend after eleventy billion hours of inefficient rehearsal and bickering and bitching between the directors. Olivia and EC were constantly screaming at each other, and it was hilarious! "EC, can we go over the..." "No, Olivia! God! I am in charge, we cannot go over something just because you want to!" It got even more hilar when I found out that their tension started when they went on a diet together and it got a little too competitive. What a couple of crazy bitches. The musical itself was funny, as in the audience enjoyed it. I met some cool new people, but I'm not sure it was worth the time. I was also drunk or hungover for 48 straight hours because of it.
I met Kellyann last Sunday morning downtown and had to vom in her hotel room before we could go to lunch. That was thanks to the cast party, at which I arrived drunk and proceeded to play three hours of flip cup. And sing show tunes. Thank you theater dorks. Anyway, Kellyann is thinking of going to Northwestern next year for grad school, which would be amazing. I'll probably live somewhere nearish that area next year too, so maybe we can be besties again.
On Thursday, my section (33 kids) had a board game night. Our professor emailed us to say: "I'll bring the Thai food and soft drinks, you bring the board games!" So needless to say, it was pretty nerdy, but I love a good board game night. I engaged in Apples to Apples and Taboo, but not at the same time. How intense would that be?!
On Friday night, I went to see La Vie en Rose. Apparently it is 2.5 hours long and in French, so that's unfortunate. Edith Piaf is exactly the same as Judy Garland, except she parlezs Francais, and she used to be a whore. Also, she was temporarily blinded by keratitis, which I now google incessantly. (Fun fact: it's herpes in your eyeball.) The movie was shown at the theater on campus, which is the most ill-conceived room in which I have ever sat through a movie. It was eleventy billion degrees, and there was no water anywhere like so many deserts, and the seats were too close together, so we just fidgeted and perspired for ever and ever.
I'm going to Vegas for SB2k8 with some hos from school. Then my sister's coming for a weekend. Then, the following weekend, I'm going to Duke to visit, and Rissy's coming too! A two-week Spring Break is such a wonderful idea. It almost makes up for my upcoming finals for which I am unprepared, my less-than-impressive grades and my lack of job prospects. Almost.
To end on a lighter note, tomorrow is Taco Fiesta Night!
