To Whom it may Concern at Gerber Baby Food Company:

Mar 09, 2006 00:51

My baby is fat. I would never say that to her face, of course, but she really is. Ever since she turned six months, she's really been packing on the pounds, especially in the tush area.

She loves Gerber baby food. That is not the issue. I appreciate that Gerber uses only the finest fruits, vegetables and meat products in its canned foods. As a mother (a good one I hope!), I love to watch my child grow and develop (within reason), and I feel better knowing that Gerber cares about my baby almost as much as I do.

My problem, though, is that sweet little Ella likes Gerber a bit too much, if you can believe that! She just can't stop. Once she tucks into a jar of Hawaiian delight, it's past her lips and on her hips before I can even get the rubber-padded spoon into the dishwasher. I wish Ella could enjoy Gerber products without all the weight gain.

But don't worry, I've come up with the perfect solution. All you fine people would have to do is make diet baby food. That way, Ella could devour two or even three jars of food each day without all those calories. Heck, if each jar were between zero and five cals, I might just have a little taste!

I'm sure you understand. I've always had trouble keeping my weight down, and it just kills me to watch my sweet baby girl scarf down a jar a blueberries and then get that look of self-hate in her tiny eyes. Please help. It would mean the world to both of us, because I could continue to feed my child the best of nature's harvest, and Ella could get back to the figure she had one or even two months ago.

Cordially,
Sarah Weber
