Whirlwind weekend
Wow...where to begin?
Friday I got to the airport quite early, had a starbucks and bought a novel (Davinci Code, I've seen the movie but books are always better), and sat around reading. Some idiot was actually trying to hit on me, dude...do I look like I care? I was going to flash the ring around but figure he wasn't worth the time explaining life to, so I was rude and just left...whatever, I have no time for dumb people...
Planes are not meant for big people. Nothing like having the wind taken out of the weight loss balloon when you sit down and have the feeling leave your legs in about 20 minutes. I was never so glad to get out of a chair. On the very very upside of things, I didn't have to ask for a seatbelt extender, not even close which made me feel a bit better :) Nothing is more embarrassing if it's not handled properly, trust me on this...
I got the licence for the wedding, met with the commissioner and the ceremony sounds like it'll be wonderful, purchased and made all the favors for the guests, went over the seating arrangements and alcohol needs, discussed music and decorations for the room, got my bouquet organized so that my aunt understands what I want - for the love of god no baby's breath!! - and had a nice birthday dinner with my family.
My mom and sister surprised me with a shower on Saturday, we got some very nice gifts and the highlight is the table my sister-in-law's mom bought us, one of the folding kind that are about 6' long and 3' wide, I have a kitchen for camping!!!!! Thank god, no more trying to make meals on the ground, or whatever makeshift deal the boys have going. And if they think they get to organize, they can think again. MY KITCHEN end of story :) Share if they want but don't move my stuff...they can think of it like the cross stitch, enjoy if you want, but for the love of god don't touch it!!!
Came home Sunday, the flight was really short, just over 1/2 an hour, went home and vegged for the rest of the evening....
I had a great time, but I'm tired. No more bells or doves or pearls or hearts or ribbon or blah blah blah for a while... I need a break
