James, Dorian

singformebaby was kind enough to mention that she'd like to see me draw more. And after a months-long slump it just sort of hit me just right and I thought, 'sure, I could do that'.

So, even though I cant do anything as cute or comic-y as her poor James, for singformebaby: ( James. Dorian, too. )

Oh my fucking GODDESS.

That is gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. Oh dear. So beautiful.

The way the eyes are more visible than the lines of the hair.. and... just wow. Totally, totally amazing.

Oh wow, hehe, thanks. :) It just comes from years of RL portraiture, which doesn't exactly translate into a manga style very well. So the mixed result is sort of interesting.

It is. Makes me wonder where I'll end up if I tried to draw more realistically...Maybe we'd sort of meet in the middle...but your technique is so much more refined...*is still in awe because of the shades*

Meh. Refined in some ways, I guess. But i'm terrible with backgrounds! And I never finish anything. Plus I almost strictly do portraiture, very little interaction.

Anyway, thanks. :)

Oh, I just think the world needs more RL Eroica portraits. XD You wouldn't mind drawing Klaus someday and post here...?

Actually, I've posted a few Klauses here.

The last was a beefy Klaus with Hugh Jackman's body:

Omigosh. SO AWESOME. The Trent Reznor one is about PERFECT. XD And the beefy one is very very nice too! Mmmmm, RL Klaus.. ;D Dude, you rock so much. *gives you chocolate*
Do you use a wacom tablet or something to draw the newer ones? If so, which program do you use? Or do you draw them by hand with a pencil and such and then do the shading in a program? *curious*

Thanks. :)

I use a waccom for everything. I mean, I draw with pencil and charcoal and pastels and I alsot oil paint, but all of my little fandom portraits are digital. I use photoshop.
