I LOVE Texas! There is no state income tax, for one thing. I moved from New York State in Oct 2009.

I've met quite a few people here from Chicago, one of my co-workers included. You can always tell the former Northerners when it gets cold. We're the ones NOT bundled up to the eyeballs in 40 degree weather.

I can handle 40. It's when it's 100 for days at a time that it get difficult. Thank God for air conditioning! :-D

I have a friend in San Antonio who keeps telling me I didn't move far enough south. LOL! And now I have a couple of my son's friends competing to be the one to teach me how to shoot. Wish I had Klaus to teach me. No wait... That might be a bad idea.
