AT LAST !! a fanfiction (of one of my fandoms) in french o/ thx !!! I actually got the 15 CMX volumes of Eroica on ebay for an affordable price last year but I can't scan them yet since I lended them to a friend :/ (idk when they will finish them though)
Thanks for your quick answer ! I was really surprised to discover another french-speaking fan of this manga! (truth is, I translated this fic so more people could possibly read it...)
I'm glad you like it, and that it reminds you of true dreams. That proves I have been successful in my rendition of a nightmare ! :)
I wanted to show in a somewhat "eroguro" way the violent side of a major, which is, to me, the reaction of someone who has never been taught how to deal with his feelings. This, and the fact he is in reality afraid of Eroica, while the latter is one of the very few people who aren't scared of him.
My beta-reader then told me that the dream was the best way to show the feelings of this character. And truth is, a lot of fanfictions tend to fall into the trap of an introspective major, which is very OOC for him, I think. The fact that his past is known to us by one of his comrades and not by himself, contrary to Eroica, is quite significant of this.
yes I enjoyed how you narrated it :D wow you've got a very precise analysis :o I didn't realize it (though I had is in mind unconsciously) and I didn't know eroguro ! did you write another fanfic ? :D
Eroguro is in fact a current in japanese art where erotic elements ("ero") are mixed to "grotesque" and gore elements ("guro"). A famous author is this gender is Suehiro Maruo.
I wrote other fanfics, but not about Eroica, and in french only (for the moment). All of my works are available on fanfiction.net.
