Outside the Capitol building in Austin, Texas, there's a marvellous statue, or maybe it's really a group of statues, commemorating the history of Texas.

This guy is one of the figures, a Spanish dude in pumpkin pants, thigh boots and sword, reminding people that Texas was claimed by the Spanish way back in the 1500s.
While I was looking at this statue, I couldn't help thinking about Tyrian in thigh boots. The thought was almost too much for me.
