Yaoicon?
First, I'd love to say how pleased I am to find this comm. If I'm stepping out of bounds or am being hasty to the point of rudeness, please excuse me. I just had a thought when reading posts here and at 2am, I don't want to lose the thought.
Does anyone live in California, or have the ability to come to California in October? Someone more fortunate than I? Because I've been a fan of JuneManga since before imprint was taken up by DMP, and they've been talking about how Ayano Yamane-san's "Finder" is being released by popular demand. That's exactly what we need right? I figure, what better way to bring a manga to their attention than to take it up with them directly, at Yaoicon? And if there isn't someone from DMP or June there to talk to, Yamane-san and Hinako Takanaga-san will be there, and they'll know the business.
I am dying to go -first year I'd be old enough, and on their anniversary!- and there's only one thing really holding me back. The car's transmission and radiator are both... nearly out. I'd be terrified to try to drive the eight hours to SF, so. Just thought I'd throw the idea out there. Letters, petitions, internet memes - anything to get the good word out there.
I've loved this series quietly for years. I'm ready to take a stand!
