The Eroica Conncetion

Jul 06, 2008 01:44

Thanks to dzayde, I not only got a good chunk of the Japanese manga, but just recently she sent me some older, out-of-print fanzines, one of which is "The Companions in Chaos: The Adventures of That Man From NATO and The Thief Who Loved Him." At the beginning is "The Eroica Connection" by Kay Reynolds, an essay outlining the Eroica/Led Zeppelin parallel that many of us now know, but seems to have been relatively unknown at the time the zine was published, which was 1993. The essay is 40 pages and very, VERY picture heavy.

Yes, this is why I was searching for Led Zeppelin photos. I've tried to clean up or replace the photos and manga scans included in the original fanzine to the best of my ability in order to make them easier to see. Some of the originals were quite dark or washed out. I replaced some with color, if I could find them!
