When driving this evening, I noticed what looked like a thunder cloud to the north. It seemed weird to me, since the weather had been so nice, and we don't get thunderstorms here very often. Especially this time of year. Then things started to make sense more when I realized that the "cloud" was the direction of Mt. Saint Helens. Sure enough, the radio said that it had erupted! Nothing dangerous, just some steam and ash. Here's a couple pictures of what I saw this afternoon:
Cool, huh? It's kind of scary living in the line of sight of two big volcanoes. Another good reminder for me to relax about things I try to control.
