A reason to live in fear. Fear of being barefoot, at least.

Augh, the rat hasn't gone away, or stepped in the trap yet. We've seen it twice more now. And heard it numerous times. A friend of mine discouraged me by saying, "if you see one rat, that means there's a hundred more you don't see." So Eric bought more traps and poison today. One of the type of traps he bought is sticky. If the rat steps into it, its paws are supposed to stick. We'll see how well they work. I wonder if they would chew their paws off to get away, like the hiker that cut his arm off to get away from the rock that pinned him last year.

On top of that, I'm itchy. Sunday afternoon I trimmed the ivy that was taking over the sidewalk next to our house. it was so much. I rolled the ivy like a snowball, it was about four feet in diameter and weighed at least a couple hundred pounds. Now we have a huge ball of ivy sitting next to the sidewalk.

It didn't even occur to me that my skin might react to the ivy. Sure, I'm allergic to poison oak and poison ivy, but I've never heard anything about regular ivy irritating skin. A day or two afterword though, my arms and hands broke out in a red, itchy rash. It's not as bad as poison ivy or oak, where it's nasty and weepy, but it's still definitely a rash. Weird.

Speaking of allergies, I've never had any food allergies at all. However, I'm afraid I'm developing a mild allergic reaction to milk. I hope my suspicions are allayed, being allergic to milk would be terrible.

This has been such a negative post. Really, my life doesn't suck, it's just the lame things that I happened to write about today.
