Home Sweet Home
My apartment complex is doing some remodeling. No big deal. They want to make the place look better. I am cool with that. Last week they pulled out all of the bushes in front of my place and removed a bunch of trees near the front of the complex. It is kind of ugly now but I will wait and see what they do.
I get a notice in my mail on Thursday that they are moving the leasing office to 20-107. I live in 20-106. That is going to be next door to me. Fine. It was a maintenance shed on the ground floor and an apartment on the second floor. They said they would be doing some remodeling this weekend and may make some noise around 8:00am on both Saturday and Sunday. Again no big deal.
I had to run some errands this morning and went for an eight mile walk. Tired, sore and stinkier than normal I went home to see a LARGE piece of construction equipment. i.e. a wrecking machine. It was taking down the old maintenance area. They were destroying it and then going to pick up the debris. The foreman said my place would not have any problems.
I went inside to my placing shaking as I walked through. The swords on the walls were still standing but the whole placed would move. Like a mini earthquake. Upstairs I had about a dozen shot glasses all over the floor that fell from the wall. Luckily none broke but I have to move those plus about thirty more off of the wall holders so they didn't fall. I also have cracks in the wall near the ceiling in both bedrooms. Great. I have to tell the complex about this tomorrow.
Also they will be using a bobcat to pick up all of the debris. Starting at 8:00am. No sleeping in for me.
If I try to look out my front window I see the bobcat blocking my view. Very annoying.
On a different note the Bears drafted a TE from Miami. Greg Olsen. I like this pick. They also traded down in the second round for more picks. Nice.
