I just walked out of the cafeteria building, and had one of the kindly maintenance men approach me.
"Excuse me? Can I bother you for a moment?"
"Mhmm?"
"Can I have a cigarette?"

At which point, I told him I don't smoke. In his softspoken tone, he replied, "Oh, really? Oh, okay." Said thank you, told me to have a nice day, and continued on his way.
