When I was in Perth last year with Mel and Wen, we heard Wisemen a few times over the radio, but never knew what the song was, or was about. All I could hear was a person singing "Where are you now?" It's been about a year since then, and I finally own the song (legally). Tonight I played the song again, and the question still resounds ( Read more... )

you know what, i completely relate to "the song doesn't sound as hauntingly beautiful as I remember it to be".

like when u are a child u experience something, as you very aptly put, hauntingly beautiful. and it leaves such a deep impression on you and you carry that memory with nostangia. then many years later u come across it again and u find out what it is and its not so remarkable anymore. one of my experiences was the scene from star wars 5, the luke i am your father then hanging from the hole and jumping on to the falcon. its so enchanting when u are 5 or 6 years old.

but then last year when i found out it was star wars i was like cheh. and it destroyed it somewhat.

on a related note, adulthood and maturity kinda destroys the wonder and beauty we used to have/see in the world dont it? lol
